Poppin’pastels

Today, I want to share with you a different way to use your Stampin’pastels. This technique’s name is called Poppin’pastels. You will need some solid stamps (will give you better results) and some VersaMarkTM, some “fluffy” cotton swabs or a sponge. What I like with this technique is that with VersaMarkTM and your Stampin’pastels, you got 51 different colors!

First, you need to dip the stamp you have chosen in the VersaMarcTM.

After that, with the cotton-swab, pick the color you want from your Stampin’pastels and apply it on the edge of your image (or where you would like to see it).

You can use another color to put in the center to make it show a bit more.

If you need to work on a wider surface like in this picture, it’s easier to use a sponge. Start again by stamping with VersaMarkTM. Then color the detail you want to show with the cotton-swab.

After, take the color you want with the sponge.

Now, you simply have to apply it on the stamp image as shown. You can use different shade of green to give some depth to your project.

Here how it look like when the application is done.

Now, you simply have to finish your card or scrapbook page. Here is the picture of my card when it’s all done.

Have fun with it!! You can send me some pictures of your productions if you feel like it!
